A concert film is more than a recording. It's the most powerful marketing tool a band or artist can build.
What a concert film does for you
Festivals want to see live footage before they book you. Booking agents want to see how a band performs on stage. And a single show can keep you in content for months: the full film, individual songs, teasers, behind-the-scenes, social media clips. We come to you – from a small club gig to a major festival, and for theatre and dance productions too. Multi-camera, professional live audio recording, editing and mastering — all in-house.
Three levels.
One honest price.
A concert film is made in three phases: pre-production, shoot day and post-production. For a Recording, pre-production is minimal. For Film and Blockbuster it is a project in its own right: developing the concept, rehearsing camera moves, working out the lighting design, scouting locations, planning the logistics.
Post-production – editing, colour grading, audio – is the biggest cost. Our day rate is €700 (incl. VAT). What you're paying for isn't button-pushing but real creative craft: every cut a decision, every grade a judgement call. The goal: something that doesn't look like a live recording – it looks like a film.
What determines the price: number of songs, cameras, locations, lighting setups, and how much pre-production is needed. The example budgets below are a guide, not a guarantee.

Get in touchWhat a Blockbuster production costs depends on too many factors to quote a fixed price. The shoot alone – depending on camera setup, lighting rig, crane, drone and crew – can easily run into tens of thousands before post-production even begins. Add 2–3 months of editing, colour grading and audio mixing. The result is worth it – but it has to be budgeted realistically.

Add-on: audio
Live audio, mixed and mastered.
Recording and Film above are calculated without audio. From the multitrack recording of the concert, we mix and master the audio in sync with the picture – so the film sounds like a live album.
The multitrack recording can often be handled by the venue's in-house engineer at the desk. For higher quality, we bring our own recording equipment and a sound engineer – €700 per day, the same as an editing day. More on our live recording mixing page.

Our experience goes beyond concerts. We have also filmed theatre productions and dance performances – with the same high standards for cinematography, lighting and audio. A professional recording protects your work: it captures what happens on stage and lets you share that moment – for funding applications, festival submissions or simply as a lasting record of the production.

WeLive is living proof of what's possible. Since 2020 we've been producing concert films for international and regional artists – with the same standard for every film: that it sounds and looks like a fully produced work.
