Not everyone shows up with a finished recording. Some have a live show they want captured well.
What we handle in music production
Others have an idea, a lyric or a riff and need someone to help shape the rest. I work on the whole song – songwriting and arrangement, recording, mixing and mastering – whether that happens in our own studio, out at a show, or through our network of partner studios for bigger sessions.

Most of a production – songwriting, arrangement, and tracking individual instruments and vocals – happens right here in our own studio. For live shows, we come to you. And for sessions that need more room than we have, we tap into a network of partner studios.

Our studio is small and personal by design, but it's already proven itself with grand piano and drum sessions. Most of our production work happens here: vocals, individual instruments, and overdub sessions tracked one layer at a time. Unlike a lot of studios, we don't just hit record and wait to see what happens: we get creatively involved during the session – on arrangement, structure and sound – whenever you want us to.

We come to your concert or performance and capture the sound professionally on location. This is a core strength of ours, sharpened over years of WeLive and our concert film work. If you've already recorded the show yourself, we can just handle the post-production – everything about that is on our Live Recording Mixing page.

Songwriting & Arrangement.
Most artists don't show up with a finished plan. They show up with an idea, a feeling, or just the wish for something to finally sound professional. That's enough to start. We don't just handle the last step (mixing, mastering) – we can stay involved the whole way: structure, arrangement ideas, production feedback, before or during recording.
If we contribute to the composition or lyrics, we'll talk it through openly with you. Smaller contributions during a session are usually handled through a fair co-writing credit with GEMA (the German performing rights society) rather than an extra fee. For more substantial compositional work – writing out full orchestral parts, for example – we agree on the time involved and bill it separately.
I'll also tell you when a song isn't finished yet.
When you send me a demo, however rough, I'm not listening for sound quality first. I'm listening for whether the song grabs me. That's what decides whether we go straight into recording, or whether we need to work on the song itself first – on structure, arrangement, whatever is actually supposed to carry it.
That also means I'll sometimes tell you something you don't want to hear. A guitar part that needs to go. A chorus that isn't quite there yet. Not to be right, but because a song only really works once it's actually finished – not just finished being recorded.
In the end, it's about the artist's vision, not mine. I'm deliberately versatile and open to very different ideas, but I need to feel and understand for myself what you're going for. That mostly comes down to one thing: honest communication until we're really on the same page. Once that's in place, the song, the recording, and eventually the mixing tend to come together on their own, right here in the studio.
