Podcast production

Mobile podcast studio.
We come to you.

You don't need a studio of your own to produce a podcast that sounds professional. We bring the gear to you, build you a permanent setup, or take the production off your hands entirely from a distance.

Produce a podcast without building a studio.

Which route fits depends less on budget than on how often you record and how representative the result needs to be.

Editing & mixing

You record, we do the rest.

The most common case. You send us the raw files, we send back a broadcast-ready episode – mixed at our studio in Lahr, on the same monitors we mix albums on.

  • Editing: stumbles removed, pauses tightened
  • Background noise, room reflections and hiss cleaned up
  • Voices balanced so nobody is louder than anyone else
  • Loudness normalised to podcast standard
  • Intro, outro and music beds in place
  • One revision round included
from €240 net
€285.60 incl. VAT · up to approx. 30 minutes of raw material
Recording support

We sit in on the session.

You record from anywhere, we set up the platform, run a test beforehand and support the session technically. Every voice is recorded on its own track, and modern speech processing gets clean results even from simple microphones.

  • Technical setup and test run in advance
  • Support throughout the recording
  • Every voice on a separate track
  • Combines with editing & mixing
€85 net / hr
€101.15 incl. VAT · billed by actual duration
Mobile studio

We set up at your place.

We come to your rooms and build the full recording setup – microphones matched to the room, preamps, monitoring, acoustic treatment where needed. One of our engineers stays throughout so you can concentrate on the conversation.

  • Setup and calibration on location
  • Technical support on the recording day
  • Several episodes in a single day possible
  • Works with guests present

Studio setup

A permanent studio in your rooms.

We install a lasting recording space: choosing and installing the equipment, acoustic treatment, cabling, and training that lets your team record on their own from then on.

  • Equipment matched to room and budget
  • Acoustic treatment
  • Installation and cabling
  • Training for your team
  • Ongoing editing with us on request

quoted by room and requirements

Editing is billed as a flat rate per episode rather than by the hour – so you know in advance what a season costs. Only recording support runs on time, because a session occasionally takes longer than planned.

For material that needs heavy editing or is technically complex – many cuts, editorial coordination, several revision rounds – we quote by effort. We tell you beforehand which bracket your format falls into.

Prices are net plus VAT, with the gross figure shown alongside. From six episodes onwards we agree fixed terms.

When the podcast should also be watched.

More and more formats run not only as audio but on YouTube, LinkedIn or Instagram as well. We set up the recording room with cameras and lighting and cut the material afterwards – on request also as a live stream with vision mixing.

The camera side comes from in-house: we produce concert films and music videos anyway. So you don't need to bring a second company to the table, and picture and sound are thought through together from the start.

When remote recording is enough – and when it isn't.

For conversational podcasts, a well-prepared remote recording is usually enough. Speech processing has improved so much in recent years that the difference from a studio recording no longer matters to most listeners.

It's different when the podcast is meant to represent you externally – as a customer magazine, an employer brand, a flagship. Then the difference is audible, and recording on location is worth it. We tell you in advance which of the two categories your project falls into, even when the cheaper option wins.

Including the ones nobody else gets to hear.

For Medizinischer Dienst Baden-Württemberg we produce an internal podcast that runs strictly inside the organisation. Formats like that are more demanding than public ones: there is no community that forgives mistakes, and everything has to be clear on first listen.

We can't publish any of it. But if you want to know how we work, we're happy to talk about it.

Frequently asked questions.

What does a podcast production cost?
Editing and mixing start at €240 net (€285.60 incl. VAT) per episode of up to roughly 30 minutes of raw material, with one revision round included. Technical recording support is billed at €85 net per hour (€101.15 incl. VAT). A mobile studio on location and a permanent studio setup are quoted individually, because travel, room and equipment vary considerably. For material that needs heavy editing or is technically complex, the price is higher – but we tell you that beforehand.
Do we need our own podcast studio?
No. There are three routes: we come to you with the mobile studio and set up the gear for the recording day. Or we build you a permanent studio in your own rooms, including acoustics and training, so your team can record independently from then on. Or we produce entirely remotely, in which case all you need is a quiet room and a headset.
Is remote recording good enough?
For conversational podcasts, usually yes. Modern speech processing gets remarkably clean results out of simple microphones, and we record every voice on its own track. If the podcast is meant to represent you externally, as a customer magazine or an employer brand, we still recommend recording on location – the difference is audible.
Can you produce video podcasts?
Yes. We set up the recording room with cameras and lighting and handle the edit. On request also as a live stream with vision mixing, for example on YouTube. Since we produce concert films and music videos anyway, the camera side comes from in-house.
How far do you travel for on-location work?
We are based in Lahr in the Black Forest, between Freiburg, Offenburg, Karlsruhe and Strasbourg. Travel within that area is straightforward. Beyond it we are happy to come when the scope justifies it, for instance when several episodes are recorded in one day or a studio is being installed.
Do you also do editing only?
Yes, that is in fact the most common case. You record yourselves and send us the raw files, we send back the finished episode: edited, stumbles removed, pauses tightened, background noise cleaned up, loudness normalised to podcast standard, intro and outro in place.
